Nominations Are Open
Nominations are being accepted for Shop Stewards and Trustees.
Shop Steward Positions
We are currently seeking Shop Stewards for the following work areas:
- Marketing and Communications, Development, and Finance — one position
- Conferences — one position
- Hospitality – Rooms — one position
- Hospitality – Sally Borden and Security — one position
- AV Technical Services — one position
Serving as a Shop Steward is one of the most direct ways to become involved in your union and support co-workers in your department or work area.
Trustee Positions
We also have three Trustee positions to fill:
- One Trustee for a one-year term
- One Trustee for a two-year term
- One Trustee for a three-year term
Trustees act as an auditing and oversight committee on behalf of the membership. They review the Local’s financial records and practices and help ensure that the Local operates responsibly and in accordance with its bylaws and CUPE requirements.
