Notice of Temporary Lay Off Continuance
With the continuation of the global COVID19 pandemic, Banff Centre continues to work and be in alignment with CUPE Local 4318, the Ministry of Advanced Education, Ministry of Alberta Labour and Immigration, Alberta Health Services, and Town of Banff to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
In accordance with the September 12, 2020 Ministerial Order No. 2020-43 from the Alberta Labour and Immigration Ministry, Banff Centre has advised all employees on temporary layoff of the extension of their temporary layoff to December 31, 2020. CUPE Local 4318 and Banff Centre have signed a memorandum of agreement that amend the six month timeline in Article 11.00 to be December 31, 2020, in order to be in compliance with the Ministerial Order.
The intention of this order is to have employees remain connected with their employers while navigating the pandemic.
While staff remain on Short-term layoff, Banff Centre will continue to provide the following Alberta Blue Cross benefits: Life Insurance, AD&D, Dental, and medical Coverage, until December 31, 2020.
