The Greg Rudel/Andrew Shepard Memorial Scholarship was created. Greg Rudel, from Bozeman, Montana, was a visual artist during the 1980–81 winter program. Andrew Shepard was a Banff Centre employee and BCSSA Treasurer. The two young men lost their lives in an avalanche on April 2, 1981.
